Queendom : awesome performances and unexpected support for LGBT
I’ll be honest: I really thought that Queendom was going to be a train wreck. A big one. Surprisingly, the show was fun to watch, with a nice insight into the work involved in putting together the awesome performances we witnessed each week. I was seriously impressed by every team. Those girls have hectic schedules and yet they managed to come up with nice ideas, craft, learn and deliver awesome shows, every time. I also have a ton of respect for the teams behind them, working long hours in the shadows to make all of that possible. And to see some of those idols using that freedom to deliver a message, especially AOA, was refreshing and made me happy. Well done girls.
AOA got the most views online with that cover of Mamamoo’s Egotistic, and it’s probably my fav performance of the whole show. From Jimin rap to that epic ending, I’ll let you dig the comments to understand why this perf is so meaningful.
Here is a selection of the other performances that I really liked (not in order). For a full review of the finale, read AsianJunkie. And I have to agree, AOA was jokingly underrated in that final ranking…
Let’s be clear, I’m posting this one for the EPIC ending. Jimin forever. ❤️
Chanmi fight was awesome in Sorry.
